Tashlich Release & Renew; GatherDC; High Holidays 2024 / 5785

Join friends at GatherDC for this special Rosh Hashanah ritual!

We'll be gathering together for tashlich (i.e. casting away), a cathartic tradition for the Jewish New Year in which we toss pieces of old bread (or pebbles, leaves, sticks, etc.) into a body of water to symbolically cast away regrets and disappointments from the past year.

Join our rabbi - Rabbi Amalia Mark - and our team as we embark on this ritual together as we turn a corner and start the new year. GatherDC will provide the materials - just bring yourself! We look forward to coming together for this special tradition.

When: Sunday, October 6th at 5:30pm

Where: An accessible DC waterfront location. The exact location will be shared with attendees.

What to expect: Join other Jewish 20s & 30s for ritual, reflection, and meaning-making as we head into the new year.
