Gather Townhouse Space Rental Inquiry

We are so glad you're interested in using Gather's townhouse for your event! We are confident our townhouse will be the perfect spot for your gathering, and are here for you every step of the way to help make your event the best it can be.


Note: Submission of this form does not constitute a formalized rental agreement between you/your organization and Gather, Inc. We will reach out to you via email upon submission of this form. If you have any initial questions, please reach out to info@gatherdc.org.

The Numbers
We often work with nonprofits on nonprofit budgets, thus we are happy to work with you to make our space an affordable option for your event. The rates listed here are not binding and can be discussed via email after submitting your Inquiry Form.
Note: If you are a private community member renting the townhouse for the first time, we offer a special rate! We will follow up with you about this special pricing after you submit this form.
Non-Profit Organizations
  • 1-15 People: Entire First Floor* | $75 per hour/$500 full day**
  • 16-30 People: Entire First Floor* | $100 per hour/$650 full day**
  • Parking Spaces: $20 per spot
For-Profit Organizations & Private/Personal Events
  • 1-15 People: Entire First Floor* | $125 per hour/$900 full day**
  • 16-30 People: Entire First Floor* | $150 per hour/$1000 full day**
  • Parking Spaces: $30 per spot

*Entire First Floor Rental Includes: 
  • fully furnished living room
  • dining room
  • kitchen area
  • dinner set and silverware for 16
  • bathroom
  • individual security access for front and back door
  • event support by a GatherDC staff member.
**Full-day rates are based on an 8-hour day.

Rental Rate Calculation



Note: Rental time is inclusive of set-up/breakdown; additional time, if taken, is subject to
additional fees as outlined in our hourly rates.
● A signed contract and credit authorization form must be received to reserve your
date(s) and time(s) at least one (1) week prior to the event.
● The balance of your space rental fee is due the next business day following your
event. You can find the link to your invoice in your email. The subject line will read "Info for your Gather Townhouse Rental".
● Miscellaneous costs such as bar, catering, additional furniture or equipment are the
responsibility of the renter and are subject to approval by Gather, Inc.
Vaccination Conditions for Rental
Per Gather, Inc.'s in-person event guidelines for the Gather townhouse, we do ask that any renters in our space to confirm that all visitors to the townhouse are fully up-to-date on their COVID vaccinations. This is a requirement for rental.

Renter Responsibilities and Conditions


Please read the material below to make sure all parties understand the requirements of providing for everyone’s safety and keeping Gather, Inc. a well-maintained space for community use. You will see a copy of this page in your Rental Agreement, where you will be asked to initial it.

DEPOSIT/RENTAL FEES
A signed contract and credit authorization form must be received to reserve your date(s) and time(s) at least one (1) week prior to your event. The balance of your rental fee is due within one (1) business day following your event. Miscellaneous costs such as bar, catering, and additional furniture or equipment are the sole responsibility of the renter and are subject to approval by Gather, Inc.

LIABILITY
Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold Gather Inc., its landlord, building owners, officers, employees, and agents harmless of and from any liabilities, costs, penalties, or expenses arising out of and/or resulting from the rental and use of the premises, including but not limited to the personal guarantee of provision, service, and dispensing of payment by renter, its employees, and agents of alcoholic beverages at Gather, Inc.

KITCHEN POLICY
Please note that Gather, Inc. provides renters access to their dishes, glassware, knives, and utensils with the understanding that they will be cleaned by the conclusion of the event. The kitchen space will be provided in a clean condition and the space should be returned to a clean condition immediately following your event. All trash and recyclables must be collected, properly bagged, and removed from the premises. Gather, Inc. encourages those renting space to consider green, sustainable, fair trade, ecologically sound cleaning and zero waste solutions. Gather, Inc. proudly commits to as close to zero waste events as possible.

Please note: our kitchen is not kosher. Renters and staff are welcome to bring in any kind of food they wish. If you would like to serve a strictly kosher meal while renting the townhouse, you can use disposable plates and utensils (we ask that you please provide your own). SITE DECORATION
Gather, Inc. wants to make every event here a special and welcome experience. Every effort will be made to allow renter to prepare decorations reflecting their creative requirements; we only ask that you approve any rearranging of furnishings by Gather, Inc., including artwork, lamps, decoration, or major furniture. Please use painter's tape when hanging any items; no nails, screws, staples, or penetrating items are to be used on our walls or floors.

CONDUCT
There is absolutely no drug use or smoking of any kind tolerated on premises or within 25 feet of the building including loitering or congregating on the sidewalk at any time during the event. Derogatory or disparaging remarks or any type of physical violence will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate expulsion. Renter and guests shall use the premises in a considerate manner at all times.

LOST AND FOUND
Gather, Inc. takes no responsibility for personal effects and possessions left on premises during or after any event; we do, however, maintain a lost and found and will hold recovered items up to 30 days. Every attempt will be made to return any recovered item to its rightful owner.

PROMOTIONS AND COPYRIGHT
It is important to us that you have a fantastic, successful event. Should Gather, Inc. be engaged in the promotion or co-production of your event, it is imperative that we see and approve all marketing messages and communications. We are happy to discuss and share professionally created images of our space for promotional materials. We hope you will refer others here and are happy to answer any questions you might have about the types of events we do. A representative of Gather, Inc. will be available to help coordinate your visit, and any questions about the space, its contents or about our upcoming events and the organizations we work with can be directed to that representative. Promotional materials and signage can be made available at all events.
